The Flute Concerto No. 3 from opus 10 by Antonio Vivaldi is certainly among his most popular works. 'Il Gardellino', 'The Goldfinch', is its programmatic title, and the solo flute does absolute justice to its content. The arrangement for 5 flutes makes this delightful work accessible for music school lessons as well. Professor Thalheimer has revised Peter Stoehr's arrangement on the basis of supplementary sources. The revised reprint is not compatible with previous editions due to optimized voice distribution. This work can also be performed by an ensemble.
