Piano Town Lessons Level 3

Lessons is the very core of Piano Town. The controlled, steady pacing of the curriculum introduces one element at a time. Each concept is presented in a consistent, reliable format, and its clear presentation helps students focus on new skills and information.

Lessons Level 3 introduces various styles of broken chord accompaniments, including the waltz bass and Alberti bass patterns. Minor key signatures are introduced and students will play scales, chords and music in A, D, E, and G minor.  B-flat Major is also introduced.  Other important new skills include playing chromatic scales, triads and inversions, octaves, and overlapping pedal technique.  The music in this book emphasises classical literature with works by Telemann, JC Bach, L. Mozart, Haydn, Diabelli, Hook, Gurlitt, Schytte, and Salutrinskaya. In addtion to a review of Sonatina form, students will also learn about binary and ternary form.
