Robert Schumann's Forest Scenes (Waldszenen) Op. 82 for solo piano is a set of nine short solo piano pieces. In a letter to his publisher he refers to this set as one "I have greatly cherished for a long time" and although the titles sound quite light there are many layers to them. Battling with debilitating depression some of these pieces give a little insight into his turmoil. This Peters Edition is edited by Louis Kohler.
